"Hmm.. Why don't you freshen up. I have the dinner ready and we can eat" he suggested
"Ok.. I need to talk to you" she said.
"What is it? Can we talk while eating ?" He said caringly
"No. I want to talk to you right away" she said.
"The chairman suggested that I continue as his secretary after this project as well" Sanjana said with hesitation
"Wow ! That position is equivalent to the CEO right? How come ?" Vivek said with astonishment.
…….. Sanjana was quiet lost in thoughts
"Did he… Did he.. Anything bad ..?" Vivek asked hesitantly bringing the indecent proposal back
"NO" Sanjana shouted "Don't you think anything other than that" she chided Vivek.
Sanjana was irritated that Vivek came back to the topic. Though she was worried about the same she did not want Vivek to bring that up.
"I am sorry Sanjana " Vivek said meekly.
"The chairman praised my learning skills and my talent when he offered me this position. Don't think that I need to sleep over with him to get this job." She thundered.. This was something she was saying to herself than Vivek.
"I am sorry. I did not mean it that way "
"Then what do you mean.. You always think about other men fucking your wife these days." Sanjana was direct in her retort. She expected Vivek to slap her anytime.
"." Vivek bowed his head in shame and kept quiet.
Sanjana was completely upset. Why was he not behaving like a husband now.. she thought to herself.
"Oh God !! What has become of you, Vivek" Sanjana said..
"I love you" VIvek said and cried.
Sanjana never irked men crying and it was awful to see her husband that way..
She went near him and placed her hand over this head. Vivek started to ramble between his sobs.
"I am worth nothing now. not useful for anyone . anymore.." he said.
Sanjana understood his mental state and did not want to push him under further depression.
"Vivek, I understand your situation and i am sorry for saying that.. See .. we need this job and i am getting good at it. lets take this and lets see how we can handle it. Okay ?" She said.
Vivek stopped crying and looked at her.. "Yes Sanjana you have to do it. You have to take this offer and lets handle it" he said.
Sanjana got up and went to freshen saying, "Ok lets eat and get to bed .. common"
She was even more confused after speaking with Vivek about it but she was sure about one thing. She needed that job for sure and her husband was no where near getting one. She decided that and went to bed
