Chapter 03
It was already eight when Atul reached home. Most of the wedding decorations had been removed. A few rented sidewalls lay at one corner of the courtyard.
“Where were you Atul?”
His dad was at the door, furious. “Anvita’s friends had come. It was your duty to greet them at the door. You have no manners, don't you?”
“I’m sorry, dad. I forgot. I totally missed it.”
“Your sorry can't undo anything. When will you stop acting like an idiot?”
He never missed a chance to berate him. Atul hated his dad for that. He walked inside.
“Go and talk to Anvita. She’s very sad, son.” Mom said.
Atul nodded and walked to his room upstairs. All his effort was aimed at not to reveal how drunk he was.
Vikas showed up. “And come back for dinner,” Said the elder brother. Atul knew he was teasing him. But he did not risk opening his mouth to him.
Not this time.
Anvita was lying in bed, facing away from the door. The first thing he noticed was the curve that formed from her narrow belly to the round hip from where the curve travelled down through the edge of her thigh to the knees. It was beautiful and her thin floral dress merely enhanced the view.
Atul took a deep breath and slowly closed the door.
I shall skip the dinner now.
He could literally feel his rock hard member rubbing against his thighs as he walked closer.
“Anvita.”
He sat on the edge of the bed. Anvita turned to him and he saw her eyes. They were red. She stared at him from top to bottom.
“Anvita...”
“Are you drunk?” It took him no time to sense the change in her voice.
“Uh... I had gone to drop George uncle. He didn't leave me without a beer.”
Anvita sat up in the bed.
“He didn't leave you? Are you a child, Atul?” She raised her voice.
“I didn't mean that, baby. He was persuasive.”
He was certainly taken aback by her attack.
“Nice excuse. Do you know my friends were here? I waited and waited... I called you a hundred times...”
“I had left my phone in the car. I thought I would leave in a minute... but uncle and Leona were...”
“Come on Atul! It is just the second day of our marriage. Do you think this is what I expect from you?”
Atul was beginning to feel the heat.
“It’s really sad to see you like this.” Anvita shook her head.
Atul really felt for her. She was absolutely right. He was stupid.
“I am sorry Anvita. I know this is very wrong. I am sorry.”
She ignored his apologies and looked away. She was really hurt. He could see it. He cursed his decision to entertain George’s persuasions. He cursed himself. He suddenly felt he seriously lacked communication skills to talk to his wife.
He was hit with reality. You are married. You can't make a single-minded decision on the spot like you used to in the past. You must do a little more math before doing these types of silly...
He was rueful at himself again.
Anvita lay in bed facing away from him.
“You are not coming for dinner?”
“We all had dinner with my friends, Atul. Go, have yours.”
She replied in a low voice.
Atul stood there watching her curves a few more seconds. His erection was long gone.
In the morning he apologised again. She hugged him lovingly.
“I am sorry too, I was harsh. But please make me one promise: don't come home drunk like last night.”
Anvita was everybody’s favourite in a couple of days. Her jovial nature won everyone’s heart including the neighbours. She behaved friendly with youngsters and showed respect to elders. Her wavy hair was the talk among the girls. If there was one who was far from impressed, then it was Atul’s father.
Rajyavardhan was a tough looking dairy farmer and mill owner. He rarely smiled at anyone. His choice to command respect was by means of intimidation. Atul was cautious about the likelihood of Anvita coming under his wrath for silly mistakes. But he knew it was inevitable.
Atul’s mom Sangeetha lived a fearful life under her husband. Her advice to daughter-in-law mostly centred on the tips to avoid Rajyavardhan’s rage. Anvita was getting uneasy under the situation. She once discussed the matter with Atul.
“Why does everyone fear him? He acts like a military commander!”
“Leave him. He can't be negotiated.”
Atul said.
“Why?”
He had no answer.
One of her neighbours eventually spilt the beans.
When Vikas was studying in college, he was involved in a silly altercation with another student. The boy ended up beaten by Vikas, and the boy’s father ran into Rajyavardhan to complain. Rajyavardhan took the incident as an insult to him, and his way of redemption was unique and mad. He beat up the father of the boy first, then the boy, and finally Vikas. He broke right legs of all the three. Rajyavardhan spent two nights in jail but he never regretted his actions. He said he did not like the way the boy’s father talked to him. For him, respect was the biggest asset. He never tolerated disrespect.
There were more such stories about him that frightened the children and adults alike. Anvita seldom walked in front of her father-in-law after listening to them. Vikas once showed her the scar of his broken leg. She since never complained to Atul why he was so scared of his own dad. However, in a few days, Anvita learned a few issues between them. One was his purchase of an expensive apartment is town when he got his job. Rajyavardhan expected his son to help him financially in his business, but Atul was not ready to settle for a mediocre accommodation. Atul’s decision to disobey his dad had almost expelled him from the house, a neighbour told Anvita.
Atul found Anvita very easy to reconcile with. She would get offended at his silly mistakes – well, he usually found them silly until she points them out – and would get over it before he started negotiating. She was like a sunflower. She sought brightness only.
In the night Anvita stopped Atul from undressing her completely. He was surprised.
“I don't want to intimidate you with my hotness.”
Her naughty smile betrayed her. He was relieved.
“You scared me. I thought I would miss it all.”
He gestured at her.
“You want this all?”
She leaned forward and pressed her lips into his.
“Why don't we switch off the lights instead?”
He suggested. She agreed.
However, her warm breath was enough to push him off the edge, as she lay in the darkness and he climbed on top of her. She moaned slightly as he once again pushed inside her.
“Oh my... Atul...uh...!”
He felt her inner lips swallowing his hardness and he lost track of his movements. Every bit of his planning was washed away as in a storm and it began to rain inside him. He sensed his strength melting, and he fell on top of her, panting, and the only thing he could do was to kiss her hard.
“I am sorry, honey.”
He ended his night again with a sorry.
Even though Atul improved a lot in a few days, they both learnt the harsh truth. It was nothing like they had seen in the films. All it takes were a few seconds or a couple of minutes to reach up to the peak. One he hit there, there was nothing he could do. But unlike he feared, it was not such a bad thing. Because Anvita never seemed to have any issue with it. She always kissed him tight when he fell on top of her, exhausted.
“I love you, baby.”
She would whisper to him. Every night they happened to be the last words he remembered to hear.
He repeatedly asked her if she was happy with the way their nights had improved.
“I am very happy, Atul. There is nothing you need to worry. I love you.”
Her reply was the same every time.
And he believed her, every time.
Atul’s vacation came to an end in two weeks after the wedding. He was expecting an extension of leave but it did not work. He had already spent his days visiting close relatives and well-wishers. While keeping up with this custom, he had given up their honeymoon.
George was very keen to host them dinner at his home. Atul liked the idea of taking Anvita to the couple, though he was wary at the thought of them seeking to know if their advice had any effect in bed - regarding how to spice up his intimacy with his woman. If it was only George, Atul would have managed, he believed. But if Leona tried to discuss anything with Anvita, it was certain to be very embarrassing, Atul feared.
“We are coming for dinner, but we won’t stay. Please don't force.”
Atul requested.
He hoped it would keep the couple within the limit.
Leona telephoned Anvita a day before the dinner.
“George doesn’t want you guys to drive home drunk. He has some wine specially bought for you, Anvita. Tell Atul it is okay to stay with us. We have a big house.”
Anvita instantly agreed with her. And Atul didn't want to disappoint her.
Anvita wore the pink floral lehenga and white shoulder cut blouse George and Leona had gifted her. Atul found it difficult to take his eyes off his wife. She looked stunningly hot. When Anvita walked out wearing it, Atul wanted to have her in his arms and kiss her immediately. She sensed his intentions from a mile away, and she stopped him at the right moment.
“Don't even think about it. You’ll spoil my makeup.”
“You don't have any makeup.”
“That’s the real thing about good makeup.”
He still managed to run his hand around her bare belly. It was smooth and inviting. He even bent his knee in front of her and kissed on her navel. He wanted to lick it. However, she broke free from his grip.
Atul hired a cab to take them to George’s house.
The couple was really in awe when they saw Anvita.
“Oh my god!”
George said and his eyes did the talking thereafter.
“Anvita you look so gorgeous. Thank you so much for wearing this lehenga. You look wow! Wow!”
Leona hugged her and kissed her on the cheek. Anvita thanked her for the wonderful gift.
George shook Atul's hand and welcomed him.
The couple had made exquisite arrangements at their home. Their terrace was a beautiful garden. They set up a few benches between the floral plants for leisure, and a barbeque at one corner. George also installed a music system for the night and it just added up the right ambience.
“Wow.”
Anvita walked around the garden and enjoyed the flowers closely.
“I will set up something like this in our home.”
She looked at Atul.
“But we don't have a terrace.”
“Oh, that’s sad.”
She mocked a sad face. She looked cute.
Leona and George had painstakingly prepared for the dinner. Atul helped him burn the charcoal and they were soon ready to begin.
George mixed Scotch whisky for men as Leona handled the wine for ladies.
“I wanted to open it the other day. But Atul didn't help me.”
Leona looked at Anvita and added, “He didn't bring you. I hated him for that.”
“You guys had almost helped us get into the first fight of our married life.”
Atul shot back at her.
“How was that?”
George enquired.
“Don't ask. It’s gone. We were quite strong. Nothing happened, uncle.”
Anvita said. George and Leona looked at one another and burst into laughter. Anvita didn't get the point.
“What happened?”
“Uncle? You just called me uncle?”
George asked.
“O, God! I will be an aunt, then. I better die now.”
Leona mocked a cry. Atul had to interrupt.
“Anvita, here’s the deal. George is a friend of my dad. In front of dad, we will call him uncle. But here, he is our friend, and he’s just George, and this is just Leona.”
Anvita’s eyes widened.
“Oops, you should have told me. I was already feeling it damn awkward to call such a young couple uncle and aunt...phew!”
George and Atul soon raised their glasses.
“Cheers to this wonderful evening!”
An hour later, George had Leona in his arms dancing around the barbeque. They had the snacks ready and there was just burning charcoal now.
George’s dance was really stupid. Remarkably stupid; Leona quickly washed her hand.
“George always embarrasses him with his stupid moves.”
Anvita was quick to pull Atul forward.
“We’ll teach you. Watch us.”
George increased the music volume as Atul and Anvita grooved in sync. They matched the steps, eyes locked together. As she smiled at Atul and bit her lips, he found himself wanting to kiss her. He sensed his hardness when she gyrated around him, rubbing her ass against him in tune with a medium-paced song.
“Wow. That’s hot!”
Leona clapped as they finished.
“You guys are really what we can call an enviable couple. Stay forever like this!”
She looked at George.
“What do you think dear?”
George was watching them with his wide eyes.
“Yes. Just wow. You guys should dance more.”
He opined.
They danced more until all were tired. But the fun was never tiring. Atul and Anvita tried to teach the hosts a couple of moves. Leona was quick to follow but George found it very tough. He later pushed Leona to dance with Atul. Leona became ready instantly, though he hesitated. Anvita was quick to push him forward. She probably didn't want to embarrass Leona.
As he danced with Leona, he quickly found it difficult to hide his erection. He was rubbing it against her body at times and he feared she would find it. And the fact that Anvita was probably already conscious about it horrified him. He checked Anvita’s face every other second, and she seemed absolutely indifferent about it, to his surprise. Leona was studying his eyes. She pulled him into her.
“Dance with me, boy.”
She held his hands and tightened it around her belly. He couldn’t help but rub his erection against her ass. He could feel how soft she was. He also could see Anvita watching them from the front. He had become docile. Leona tightened her grip and gyrated around him, rubbing her ass even more against his hardness. She was torching his sensual self, entangling him beyond escape. At one precise moment when his member was prodding between her soft cushions, Leona tilted her head to left and glanced at him over her shoulder. He was foreseeing this moment and he helplessly stood there unsure of his immediate future. He was caught off guard. His grip around her loosened instantly. He forced a simper into his face.
“What?”
“Did I get any better?”
She was insanely ignorant about his worry.
“Ask our audience.”
“No, I want to know from my partner.”
“You are doing really well, Leona.”
She unhanded herself from him and swung around a couple of times exactly like Anvita had done a few moments ago and fell into his arms. He clasped her right hand, and with his right arm around her hip, she arched back as the song came to a high-pitched end.
“Wow! Great move! Wow!”
It was Anvita’s turn to clap now.
“Where’s George?”
We were so engrossed in our steps that we both had failed to notice when he had left.
“He went to bring some ice.”
Anvita said. Atul was panting slightly as he sat beside her. She smiled at him.
“Looks like Leona got you tired.”
“Yeah, she got the moves.”
“Are you guys discussing me?”
Leona joined them.
“You were remarkable to watch.”
Anvita praised her. “And you got nice curves; that makes it more beautiful. It looked great when you did that final move. You work out regularly, I can see that.”
“I am not a regular. But I have an elliptical cross trainer machine in the drawing room.”
“Really? Atul had promised me one; I’m not sure which one.”
“Come on ladies. Are you planning to work out tonight?”
Atul chuckled.
Leona whispered something to Anvita and they burst into laughter.
“Share it with me, ladies. Let me know if it’s that funny.”
“No, no, it’s a girl thing. Sorry, boy!”
Leona winked at him.
Anvita wanted to visit the washroom. As he offered to walk her down she refused.
“Don't leave Leona alone. You can stay with her, Atul.”
“Bring George when you come back.”
Leona said and as soon as Anvita left, she poured another drink for Atul.
“There’s no ice.”
He noticed and placed the drink on the table.
“It’s okay. It will come soon. You can have mine for now.”
She got up and sat with him. She held her glass in front of him.
“It’s wine.”
He refused.
“Taste it. It’s special.”
“What is so special?”
She raised it and brought it to his lips. He took a sip. It was delicious.
“Like it?”
