They spend the afternoon doing all the rides anyone wants to try and every game that attracts their attention. Adam wins them each a huge stuffed animal, a giant Bunny for Alice, and an 'Old school' Teddy Bear for Allie. They head home, happy as can be, to a lovely dinner at home cooked together. They make love that night before the kids put Alice to bed for work in the morning.

When Adam next goes to the Dojo, he is called before Master Ono. Sensei says, "Adam, I want you to take a few of the young low-level classes and teach them. Find one of each of the 3 lowest belts and find your comfort with them. Teach them our techniques but, most importantly, our ways. The beliefs we hold sacred, Adam. Honor, humor, respect for others and self, love of all life, everything that makes us Tang Soo Do practitioners. Let them know that no one knows everything. There is always more to learn in the Arts and Life. You have embodied these ideals, Adam, since your first day, even if you did not know it then. Guide them to become the best person they can become, as you have."

Adam is stunned that Master Ono says these things to him but responds, "Sensei, I may be these things, but I have other things that are outside the norm. Many would object if they knew."

"Ah, you mean the love between you, your Sister, and your Mother. Yes, that is unusual to many, but it is not wrong for you or them. Do you know why, Adam?"

"I can only tell you that I love them with all I am and hope to be."

"Precisely. You are not in these relationships just for the baser ideals and instincts many attribute to such a relationship. I do not prescribe to those limited viewpoints. I believe that the most important thing in this world is Love. Everything else comes a distant second. If there is Love, True Love, most things can be conquered. Over the next week, find those classes that fit into your school schedule." Ono bows with Adam and steps away to begin his next class.

Adam is stunned with the confidence that Master Ono has in him to request him to teach the lower belts. More so, he knows about Allie, Alice, and his relationship and does not judge them poorly. He decides to do what his Sensei requests but also plans to ask how he knew about the love of his little family. Over the week, Adam comes in each afternoon after his college classes to identify where an instructor is needed and accepts those times. In his 10 -12 year old White belt class, he notes one particular student struggling. His name is Brian, and his confidence isn't coming up as expected with most students. He notes his father comes and watches him with a small smile for his boy. Other times, he drops Brian off and picks him up after class.

After clearing it with his father, Adam decides to work with Brian after his normal class for an extra 30 minutes. At no additional charge, as it is Adams' time anyway. After five to six weeks, he excels in his normal classes and doesn't need the extra time. Soon after Adam assesses him, he is ready to take his test for Yellow Belt and clears it with Master Ono. A testing series is approaching for others, and Adam gets Brian's name added to those to test this series. Brian passes his test with flying colors, both to Dad's and Brian's pleasure. Both Thank Adam for his extra help earlier. Adam just nods with respectful humility.

Going into the Holidays, the little family goes all out and gets a 9' Christmas tree. They added all new ornaments except the few sentimental ones from the kids' childhoods. They invited Bull to a Christmas dinner that Allie and Adam cooked for them. Centerpieced by a 20-pound Spiral cut Honey ham. Sides included candied yams, cornbread, Ambrosia salad, roasted vegetables, and small white potatoes. The dessert was a beautiful New York cheesecake. Even Bull got full enough to need a nap before trundling off to his apartment. They all enjoyed his company, and each regaled him with tales from their early days. Even Alice told a nice one, including a then good husband and father. Even the kids didn't remember that as they were still small.

Once school started back after winter break, Adam received a short list of the companies he had a shot at getting an internship at. These are the ones he had been preparing for since the fall. On top was the number one company he wanted, and so did everyone else. Little did Adam know it, but he had an inside track due to an as-yet-unknown connection. When the interviews were scheduled, Adam was last at the preferred company. When he showed up, he was surprised to see a familiar face across the interview table. Brad Merrill, Brian's father. Both men smiled and shook hands enthusiastically. Brad got down to the interview after a few minutes of the usual relaxing conversation before an interview. Adam impressed Brian with his knowledge, passion, and work ethic. Adam would be informed in a few days if he was selected, and the two men shook hands again, just as friendly as at the start. Not surprisingly, Adam was informed the very next day by his Mentor, Prof. O'Conner, that Brad had selected him to join them at his firm as his Intern.

Once again, Alice went all out for Adam that Friday. She took the kids out to a nice dinner, including the car and driver. They all had a wonderful time again, including the nearby other patrons, when Alice announced Adam's latest achievement with a toast. The pride on both the women's faces was unmistakable. Adam took it in a quiet stride and blushed profusely but held his head up and didn't return to the shy guy he had been just a few years ago. The wine was ordered for the table, and with those two bottles, other patrons added another two, showing their wish to help the celebration continue. The family shared a glass with both senders in thanks. Closing out the night at home with another night dedicated to pleasing Adam by his ladies. He made sure to give as good as he got, though. The late night was followed by a semi-lazy morning of making out and making love again.

As soon as he showed up at the Firm, Adam began pitching in and learning everything there was to know. All the engineers were duly impressed with his grasp of some of the more complex concepts that he hadn't even had through the university yet. When a new project was to be built at the design and proposal level, Adam was thrown in to see how he would fare. Brad grinned broadly at both Adam and his fellow engineers as Adam crushed the project, and he was able to show how to come in under the original budget. The company received the project, and of course, Adam was right there at Brad's elbow. When another project for a road expansion and bridge partial renovation came in, the Wonder team nailed that one, too. This time, Adam credited Bull for giving an insight into roads from the user perspective, and again, the project was under budget and on time.

When another project came in, it was another new aspect for Adam, who dove right in. Brad even slowly backed off to see how well Adam would perform essentially on his own. He killed it again two weeks early, and it was way under budget. Every engineer in the building wanted to work with Adam. Some would even search him out for a consultation on a problem that just didn't seem right on their project. Adam would see the issue and lead the questioning engineer to the answer. He made friends and close professional associations with most of the company, especially Brad.

While Adam was crushing everything at the Engineering firm, Allie was killing it in her core classes. As spring approached, she looked for a summer job. As she and Alice began talking about babies, she hit upon a job at a daycare center. While there, she had a few of their charges get minor injuries: scraps, bruises, and one split lip. Allie then began thinking about medicine and becoming a nurse. She, as usual, discussed it with her mother and then Adam.

He smiled and said, "You do what makes you happy, Allie Honey. I'm sure you will excel at whatever you put your mind to." This insight and emotional display surprised both women. Allie blushed fiercely at the praise from her loving husband and brother. Alice smiled at Adam with love and no small amount of affection at the way he encouraged Allie. Allie added Medical assistant classes to her fall class schedule after a quick talk with the University's Guidance counselor.

Alice goes on to improve both her new department and the bank overall. Both improving efficiency and morale that was lightly needed but not directly addressed until Alice arrived. The aging bank manager watches Alice putting the staff through their paces and sees them respond amazingly. He has found what he has been searching for for a couple of years now. His replacement, but he keeps the idea to himself for the next several months while working more directly with Alice and getting her ready to take over without letting on his intentions. Like Adam and Allie, Alice, too whips every challenge sent her way.

Over the summer, Adam was brought on-site to begin one of the current new projects under Brad's watchful eye and, even more so, Adam's. Once again, Brad slowly steps back, letting Adam take on as much as he can, offering only a little guidance from time to time. At the end of the summer, the project is complete and again under budget and an entire month early. Adam is celebrated by the firm and, of course, by his ladies. Adam even accomplishes this while taking a week off for a summer vacation with his ladies to the Florida Keys on a beautiful old Wooden boat.

In the Fall, School restarted for the young Ericksons. Adam returns to praise from his mentors and peers, having heard about his handling of the summer project. As usual, Adam takes compliments with a light blush and nods. Humility is definitely his strong suit. Allie continues to work at the daycare while jumping in with both feet into her Medical Assistant classes, and she excels in every aspect as she has obviously found her passion, caring for and healing children.

Christmas is celebrated as last year with an even bigger tree. Bull again joins the Ericksons for Christmas dinner and even brings a date--ironically, one of the dancers from the club, Caitlyn. However, the family discovers she is special as she has captured the big guy's heart. They also didn't realize the two had been dating for a while, and Bull surprised them all by bending his knee and asking her to marry him.​
