"But what about my clothes for tomorrow and what about me going shopping and you have to go shopping for new suits to hang in the closet here in our new offices?" Beth asked.

Kim jumped in and asked, "Shall I plan on a late dinner? I didn't know until now that you will have to stop and get some suits."

I spoke up saying, "Honey, both Beth and I were informed today that we need at least three to four days worth of clothes hanging in our closets with all the necessities because in our new position we may have to travel without much notice. Instead of bringing in my suits from home, I am going to stop by and get a few new suits, shirts and the other necessities, and then have them delivered here tomorrow morning. I told Beth it would be better if she did the same thing. So it looks like both of us will have to shop before coming home."

Kim replied, "No problem dear, we will plan on a late dinner and bring Beth home with you."

Kim continued, "Beth, if you need some lingerie, Dan knows a great little boutique where you can get great deals. If you want to know how something looks on you, you can ask Dan, he's an expert on lingerie."

"On a final note, Dan, our new system is almost done and will be finished by this evening. The gate is up and has been tested and it's working fine. Everything else is being installed as we speak and will be operational tonight." Kim said without much fanfare.

I replied, "That's great, honey. I need my code to open the gate."

Kim said blandly, "Marion told me earlier today while everything is being set up, they are using 12345. That's all it will take to come through the gate. Take Beth and go shopping and then call me when you are almost done so we can time dinner for when you arrive."

I looked up at Beth who was still sitting on the edge of my desk and she nodded her head before saying, "Kim, are you sure it's ok for your husband to take me shopping and then bring me home with him?"

Kim replied emphatically, "Oh yes, Beth, it will be great to see more of you. Pun intended."

Beth fidgeted and looked down as she said, "I'm not sure I have a lot of money in my checking account to go shopping like you've described. I have only had a secretary's salary until today and although I have a small savings account, buying business suits and all the extras to put in my office will wipe out my savings account and my checking account. I looked at Beth and said, "Beth, remember when Brenda told you this morning you will be responsible for making sure I am dressed to impress, well between you and me, and Kim later when we tell her, I am going to make sure you are dressed to impress as well. Furthermore, I want you to think of this as my gift to you for your promotion."

Beth and I left the office and got in my car and drove downtown to a shop which specialized in business suits for both men and women. As we walked into the shop I told Beth, "We will go to the women's business suit section first and once we have all that you need then we will go to the men's section."

We walked into the shop and I asked the first employee I found to get the shop manager for me. The employee scurried off and soon returned with the manager. He walked up to us and said, "Hello. My name is John, how may I assist you."

I smiled at John and said, "Hello John, my name is Dan Morrison and this young lady is Ms. Thompson and we are here to purchase a few business suits each, with all the accessories. We will need our purchases delivered tomorrow morning, to the address on this card, not later than ten o'clock. Will your shop be able to tailor our suits and meet the deadline for delivery?"

John said with confidence, "Yes Mr. Morrison, we have tailors who work in the evening and we can deliver your purchases tomorrow morning. May I ask; have you been in our shop before?"

I smiled at John saying, "Yes I have and I like the quality of your suits but until now I've only purchased a couple at a time. We will be traveling, so I want to purchase suits for both of us so we don't have to raid our closets. You understand, don't you John?"

"Yes, yes, I understand completely." John said with a huge smile.

John raised his arm and made a couple of motions with his hand and we were quickly joined by both a young lady and a young man. John looked at me saying, "Cindy will assist Ms. Thompson and Jeff will assist you Mr. Morrison. They may look young but both of them are very knowledgeable in fashion and can assist you will all your purchases."

I looked at Cindy and Jeff saying, "I'm glad to meet you and we will go together and start first with Ms. Thompson's suits and accessories then we will move to my suits and accessories. I hope that is ok with both of you."

Cindy said, "If you will follow me we will get started."

Within an hour and a half Beth and I had selected five suits for each of us. I made sure Beth selected a couple of suits with both a skirt and slacks. When we were finished making all our selections I handed my card to Cindy and she went to the register to total up our purchases. When she returned with my card, I thanked her and Jeff for their assistance. When I shook hands with them I slipped each of them a one hundred dollar bill for their help.

Beth and I walked down the street about four doors and entered a great little shoe shop I've been using for a few years now. When we walked in Jenny saw me and came right over and greeted me by saying, "Hello Mr. Morrison, how are you today?"

About forty fine minutes later Beth and I were walking out of Jenny's store. We got back in my car and drove a few minutes to the boutique. "Ok Dan, I'll be right back." Brittany replied.

A salesman walked over and asked if he could help us and I said, "Yes, do you have Samsonite travel bags?"

The salesman said, "Yes we do, please follow me."

I looked at Beth saying, "Pick out a travel bag and a matching garment bag in the color you like. I have all Samsonite bags at home and they have given me great service, that's why I'm going to pick up one for the office."

Beth said, "I'll follow your lead, Dan. I only have an old Wal-Mart suitcase and it is too big to lug around."

The salesman stopped in front of a long rack of all Samsonite products from attaché cases to very large suit cases. There were all colors and styles. I pulled a black bag off the rack and looked it over and decided I liked it. Beth picked up a black bag just like mine and then I asked the salesman where he had the garment bags in Samsonite. We walked down to the end of the aisle and hanging on the rack were all the garment bags. Beth and I each picked up a black garment bag and then I told the salesman we were finished. The salesman left us standing at the counter and went down two aisles over and picked up to bags and brought them back with him. He held them out and said, "These are our most popular toiletry bags, if you like them I will just throw them in for free."

The salesman put his hand in his pocket immediately and then smiled saying, "Thank you so much and both of you have a wonderful evening."

We went out to the car and put our bags in the trunk and then drove off to our last stop for some toiletries. It took us less than ten minutes in the store to buy our toiletries and then we were back in the car again.
