I smiled at Alex after I typed my note and said, "I have some information coming that I'd like to share with you."

After I said that, I typed another message to Jerry. I need that offer based on the current market value ... yesterday!

Alex, Mila and Felix looked back and forth between each other nervously as I waited for the response from Jerry.

Meanwhile, Klaudia came back into the room with the copies. Mila jumped up out of her chair and said, "I object to those people seeing our confidential offer!"

I quietly asked to see Stefan's copy of the offer. He handed it to me, and I pulled it out of the envelope. I looked at the first page before I turned it around and said, "Mila please sit down before you fall down. You're going to go into respiratory arrest for all the hot air you've just exhausted."

I turned the offer so the three of them could see it. "Anytime something is confidential, we use a RED rubber stamp and stamp all the pages on the top, which are confidential. I have just now, fluffed through all the pages of this document and I see none of the pages marked as confidential. I'm sorry Alex, Mila and you too Felix, IF you are going to run a business, you first need to learn to RUN A BUSINESS PROPERLY! Just claiming something is confidential doesn't make it so."

I leaned back in my chair, handed Stefan back his copy of the offer and then held out my hand to Klaudia. She placed all the copies in my hand, and I passed them down the table to all my staff.

We sat in silence as Stefan, Klaudia, Wilheim, my staff and I reviewed the entire offer which included a separate few sheets of paper as the contract. The three on the other side of the table were fuming and had a heated whispered conversation between them.

Jerry had responded to my questions and I smirked outwardly and laughed internally. I continued reading and when I finished, I laid my copy on the table and waited quietly and patiently for everyone else to finish.

I looked towards the other side of the table and saw that Alex was having a fit and he pointed towards the door. I saw that and wasn't surprised when the three of them only closed the lid on their computers and got up and walked out the door.

Stefan looked at me and I smiled at him. I said, "Please finish reading."

I sipped my water and looked at my computer. Then I typed the message, they just walked out of the meeting, but they will be back, because they left their laptops behind. The CEO is, about now, yelling at his people.

Jerry asked me to tell him what happened, and I simply told him, they put a package together with their offer and didn't supply a copy for us. Klaudia made us a copy and they claimed it was confidential. I showed them Stefan's copy and it wasn't marked confidential.

Jerry typed LMFAO! (Laughing My Fucking Ass Off)

Everyone finished reading the offer and contract and Stefan said, "He wants to rob our company from us. Our stock has remained stable and has even peaked a bit higher than usual last month. Our company, not that we are going to sell, is worth way more than they are offering. And I had to laugh to myself, of course, when in the employment section, they said I could keep my job if I survived the interview process and if I did, my title would change, and my salary wouldn't be the same. Oh, and there is no mention in there about Klaudia having a job after their takeover."

"Yes Stefan, I read everything and as I told them already, I don't like bullies. They think they have you boxed into a corner, but they have a lot to learn about business. I'm going to give them an old school, hard core lesson about business. I came up through our company doing the shit details when I was first hired, even though I am a college graduate. The old guys back then didn't care if you went to college or not, they were the ones holding the top jobs. As they started to retire, I moved into my first department head job and I was given a secretary. From that point on we, my secretary and I worked very long hours and very hard to make our department better than all the rest. Today, that same secretary is sitting beside me because I wouldn't take an advancement unless she was advanced with me. Look at us now, we are CEO and executive secretary."

Klaudia left the room saying, "I'm going to go see what's taking them so long."

When she came back, she told us, they are waiting for a company lawyer to come over to tell us their offer is confidential, and you can't have a copy if it.

I asked Stefan if he had a spare laptop and he told me he did in his office. I asked to use it and if the computer tech could come in and hook it up so I can have my lawyer on it, that would be great. I said, they are trying to pull a back room deal now.

I typed a message to Jerry and asked him if our lawyer was there now. He sent back a message that said yes. I asked him to let the lawyer see his screen and I gave them a short synopsis of what had transpired, and they were bringing in a lawyer. I told them, I want my lawyer on a computer and talk to him.

By the time they came back into the room with the lawyer tagging behind them, they had large smiles on their faces. They introduced him as Lindin Weber. I stood up and walked around the table and shook his hand and while I was at it, I squeezed it very hard. When I saw him wince from the pain, I released his hand but maintained eye contact with him until he looked away. Only then did I go back to my seat and watch the tech finish hooking the new computer and connecting it to my office. I tested it to make sure I was talking to my lawyer before I looked up and then around the room.

Stefan in a cheery voice asked, "Now, where were we?"

Mila spoke up saying, "Our lawyer, Lindin Weber has informed us that we don't have to mark our document confidential, because it's only an offer from us to Stefan's company. Therefore, I'm asking all of you over there to give me the copies which you so wrongly received."

I looked at Alex the CEO and said, "Do you have anything to say?"

"No." came his reply

I looked directly at him, "That's funny, while everyone was reading your proposal, I watched you and you seemed to be very aggravated and you had plenty to whisper to your staff. You seemed to be very angry for some reason, would you like to tell me why you were angry?"

I maintained eye contact with him, and he tried to say something, but it seemed like he couldn't spit out what he wanted to say. For a few minutes he was either quiet or made unintelligible noises. I had put the spotlight on him, and everyone was waiting for his response which wasn't forth coming. I certainly wasn't going to save him, and Mila must have run out of sarcastic things to say. The room was silent as we waited, and I could see he began to sweat. He pulled out his hanky and wiped his forehead a few times while he must have been trying to formulate a response. I looked down the table at each of my staff and all of them were staring at Alex. I looked to my left at Stefan and his staff and they were all looking at Alex. I could have dropped a pin out the seventh-floor window and we might have heard it hit the ground.

After a few coughs Alex almost whispered, "You are correct."

I said, "Please speak up Mr. Fischer, I could not hear what you said."

It took a couple more minutes of him sweating before he said in a louder voice, "Yes, Mr. Morrison, you were correct when you informed us that for a document to be confidential, it must have the red letters "confidential" on the top of every page."

Now the attention fell on me and everyone looked at me. I only paused for effect, before I asked, "Mr. Fischer, you are your company's CEO correct?"

He looked back at me before saying, "Yes, yes I am. Why do you ask?"

Once again, I paused for effect before saying, "There are only three people in this room who should be speaking and that's Stefan, CEO for his company, you Mr. Fischer, CEO for your company, and me, Mr. Morrison, CEO for my company."

"I have other staff here to support me in this meeting, and Stefan has his staff here to support him during this meeting. Not one of our staff members have spoken a word since this meeting began, why, because I am the guy who is responsible to speak for my company, just like Stefan is the responsible one to speak on behalf of his company."

"My question to you Mr. Fisher is, why is Mila Weber speaking for you with you sitting next to her. Yesterday, you weren't here, and we respected her as the senior representative for your company. We both know that's not the case today is it Mr. Fischer?"

Again, everyone's attention was focused on Mr. Fischer, and he knew it. He looked at his staff, then at Stefan and finally at me before saying, "Once again you are correct Mr. Morrison. I apologize for my staff speaking out of turn. It won't happen again, I promise you."

Now that Alex (Mr. Fischer) had lost his balls, it was time to drop the bomb.

I asked Mr. Fischer point blank, "Do you know your current stock price, right now?"

His puzzled face told me all I needed to know. He stared at me a long time before he responded, "I have the closing numbers as of last night."

I smiled and said, "Fair enough, I can tell you what they are right now, but I'll be kind and use last night's closing numbers. Tell me Alex, are you satisfied with your numbers?"

"Well, they have been better, but we are a large company and stock prices do go up and down based on many things. I'm sure you know that Dan."

"Did you check Stefan's numbers or even my company's numbers last night?"

"Yes, I did."

"Have you checked Stefan's numbers right along, say since before you attempted his hostile takeover?"

"Well, ... yes, I have."
